
How often have we heard this plattitude from CEOs and top
managers over the last several years? ... It's a good example of the
knowing/doing gap--that place where good ideas and intentions fall
short a couple of possible reasons. The first one is that the
competence to carry them out haven't yet been identified or built. The
second likely cuprit is that deeply-held organizational values have not
yet been identified, released and replaced. That piece requires lots of
hard work and organizational soul-searching.
